Director of Facilities Operations (Direct Hire) - Hospitality

In this rewarding role, you will oversee all aspects of facilities management for a 14,000-acre campus, including maintenance, grounds, snow removal, capital project management, and custodial services. You will lead a team of 25 union employees, ensuring exceptional service delivery within budget. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on manager with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building relationships.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage capital projects
Develop and maintain positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students
Research and implement new processes and technologies to improve efficiency
Conduct client meetings to address facility concerns and communicate solutions
Manage the hiring, training, and coaching of staff and service providers to ensure exceptional service delivery
Oversee all aspects of building operations and maintenance, including mechanical, HVAC, structural, architectural, landscape and energy management and sustainability, snow removal, event coordination, custodial, electrical, environmental and safety, and financials
Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in facilities management, business administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience as a Director or similar leadership role in a campus setting
Proven track record of success in managing facilities operations and staff
Strong experience managing external vendors and subcontractors
Demonstrated expertise in budget management and financial acumen
Excellent leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building
Exceptional customer service, relationship building, and communication skills
In-depth knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, grounds, and custodial maintenance
Experience managing multiple departments at a campus, including grounds, environmental services, construction, project management, and maintenance
Clear driving record and valid driver's license
Nice to Have Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification
