Director Of Development - Part-Time
Company:

Impact Stream

Details of the offer

Company Overview: Impact Stream () is pioneering the integration of blockchain technology to foster community-led development projects in emerging regions. Starting first in Togo, West Africa, our open-source platform facilitates transparent, accountable engagement between digital and local communities. We enable residents to directly propose, vote, develop, and monitor impactful projects such as water wells, education facilities, medical clinics, and critical infrastructure. Our mission is to empower local communities to shape their development while ensuring complete transparency and efficiency in funding and execution.
Impact Stream is a new NGO with remote workers. A subset of leadership is based in the greater Seattle area (United States) and the greater Lomé area (Togo).
Position Overview: The Director of Development at Impact Stream will spearhead our fundraising and development initiatives, focusing on enhancing our capacity to support community-led projects in Togo and around the world. This strategic role involves securing funding, cultivating donor relationships, and aligning financial resources with project needs. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating both digital and traditional fundraising platforms, leveraging blockchain technology to maximize transparency and donor engagement. With a hands-on approach, this leader will also play a key role in shaping our growth strategies to ensure sustainable impact.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes digital campaigns, grant writing, and major donor engagement to support both current and future projects.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, to secure and expand recurring funding sources.
Develop relationships with Web3 communities and their associated blockchain technologies to create transparent and engaging donor experiences, ensuring that contributions are traceable and that donors are regularly updated on the impact of their support.
Coordinate with project managers in Togo - and other areas of the world we are expanding to - in order to align financial resources with on-the-ground needs, ensuring efficient and effective use of funds.
Lead the development team by setting goals, managing performance, and providing professional development opportunities to foster a high-performing fundraising team.
Monitor and report on fundraising progress to the senior management team and board of directors, using data-driven analysis to guide strategic decisions and increase fundraising efficacy.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising or development roles within non-profit or NGO sectors, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Strong understanding and experience with blockchain technology and digital fundraising platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of donors and stakeholders.
Experience in managing and leading teams, with a focus on professional development and achieving fundraising goals.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and strategy.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
What We Offer: Competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Remote work flexibility with opportunities for travel to project sites and offices as needed.
Dynamic, international team environment with passionate colleagues committed to transparent and impactful community development.
Opportunities for professional growth through continuous learning and leadership development.
A chance to make a tangible difference in communities by directly contributing to sustainable development projects empowered by innovative technology.
Application Process:
Please submit your resume along with a cover letter and any relevant academic papers or project links. We look forward to exploring how your experience, expertise, and curiosity can contribute to the success of Impact Stream and the communities we serve around the world.
