Director of Business Development

Primary Responsibilities:
Drive overall sales growth by nurturing relationships with both new and existing accounts, focusing on exceptional client experiences and financial profitability.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities to ensure a robust pipeline.
Engage with industry organizations and the local community to expand business reach and establish leadership presence.
Qualify leads and develop innovative program strategies to achieve individual sales targets.
Collaborate with Experience Designers to tailor proposals and program specifications that align with client goals and budgets.
Conduct site inspections, entertain clients, and establish personal rapport to enhance business relationships.
Facilitate contract negotiations and ensure timely closure of program agreements, managing budgets and schedules accordingly.
Utilize Salesforce to track revenue projections and manage travel and client marketing budgets.
Initiate proactive sales outreach and maintain regular communication with clients to identify future opportunities.
Stay informed of industry trends and developments to provide relevant insights to the Global Sales team.
Qualifications:
7+ years of sales experience in DMC, incentive travel, or event management preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality & Tourism, Business Management, Marketing, Communication, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in client development, program design, and meeting sales goals consistently.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to navigate complex program requirements.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a focus on client satisfaction.
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive proposals.
Commitment to sustainability and social impact initiatives within the events industry.
Compensation: $120,000-$170,000 target all-inclusive, comprised of salary and incentive plan.
