Job DescriptionThe Director of Alumni Relations will serve as the chief engagement and events officer in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences (CLAHS). This position will be primarily responsible for providing leadership, stewardship and guidance for CLAHS's engagement efforts with alumni, donors and friends to ultimately increase constituent engagement and philanthropic support for the college. Additionally, the director will work collaboratively with colleagues in University Advancement and in CLAHS to further Virginia Tech's overall engagement and institutional advancement goals and objectives.The director will be responsible for planning, promoting, executing, and evaluating alumni engagement programs, projects, and events for the college. In collaboration with the college's Director of Communications, the director will strategize and implement targeted alumni communication efforts for CLAHS, including the management and execution of departmental newslettersThis position will work in tandem with College leadership and the members of the college's advancement team to pursue and promote the overall institutional goals related to communications, fundraising, and alumni engagement. The director will provide leadership and stewardship support for college and departmental advisory boards and committees.
