Director of Accounting Operations
The Director of Accounting Operations will serve as a key liaison for our field and operational leaders, assisting your team in establishing and maintaining an efficient cross-functional process. This role will also lead process enhancements and supervise the Cash department, ensuring accurate reconciliation of cash receipts and credit card transactions.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily reconciliation of cash and credit card receipts,
Support and lead a team of 10 accounting professionals, collaborating closely with Finance/Accounting department leaders.
Manage remote cash deposit processes, optimizing efficiency through the DTS Connex platform.
Coordinate accounting setup for new stores, including payment processing, fund requests, and bill payments.
Review and analyze GL account reconciliations related to cash, ensuring timely closure and accurate reporting.
Collaborate with field management and asset protection to devise strategies for preventing credit card and transactional fraud.
Enhance store processes and compliance with policies in partnership with Store Operations teams.
Review and authorize corporate refunds from the field to maintain precision.
Oversee billing and collections activities.
Develop the cash team through coaching and mentorship initiatives.
Provide regular feedback on performance and growth opportunities, addressing any performance issues promptly.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
7+ years of experience in Accounting or Treasury Operations
3+ years of supervisory experience
multi-location experience preferred
Appetite for process improvements and automation desired
