The Role: Director, Strategic Alliances Grade Level: 13 (internal use only) The Location: New York, NY Group Overview As a part of the Strategy, M&A and Partnerships function, Strategic Alliances is responsible for the firm's strategy and relationships with information service & analytics providers, exchanges, clearers, trading venues, technology platforms and other key strategic partners. The Key Partners group within Strategic Alliances is focused on revenue generation and management where S&P Global licenses data and services to third parties via a range of partnership types. The group's mandate is to maximize profit, mitigate risk, achieve cost-savings and support the creation and implementation of strategic firm-wide and product-specific goals with these key partners. Position Summary S&P Global's Strategy, M&A and Partnerships group has an opening in its Strategic Alliances team for an experienced professional to drive revenue and growth with certain Key Partners primarily for S&P Global's Market Intelligence division in the Americas. The successful candidate will oversee certain key partner relationships to retain revenue, manage and expand existing relationships, and drive revenue growth by developing strategies for complex key partnerships that span across the divisions of S&P Global Market Intelligence. The Key Partnerships group within Strategic Alliances works closely with relationship management, legal, sales, business development and leadership teams to ensure the identified goals of partnerships are strategically aligned.
This position will report to the Strategic Alliances Team Lead for the Americas region. Duties & Responsibilities
Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, analyse white space and product knowledge to optimize partner engagement strategy. Achieve revenue retention and new business/revenue KPIs (including S&P Global/IHS merger related revenue synergy identification and achievement). Develop deep knowledge of S&P Global products and the partner ecosystem in order to drive complex partner integration, redistribution, and other engagements while identifying and proposing new business opportunities. Penetrate partner organizations across different functions and levels to establish, maintain and develop key partner relationships, with a focus on senior level engagement to influence new opportunities. Lead high impact deals and represent S&P Global externally in new business development and key partnership negotiations.

Adept at building and maintaining trusted and credible relationships with partners and colleagues at all levels, particularly at senior/executive levels Deep experience with partner licensing frameworks including expertise in partnership deal structuring and deal execution Commercial and legal acumen and problem-solving skills related to the management of complex 3rd party relationships Collaborative team player and leader with high motivation and ability to independently drive successful results in a fast-paced environment Understanding of and experience with financial services, fintech and data landscape Strong communication, drafting and presentation skills Deep understanding of and experience with data and intellectual property licensing frameworks and arrangements Ability to partner and influence decisions among colleagues across functions Engaging and credible presence
Education
B.A. or higher degree
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 depending on experience. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
