Direct Support Professional

First Resources Corp. of Ottumwa is growing and we are searching for a dedicated and energetic full-time and part-time Direct Support Professional. The ideal candidate would be responsible for daily services for people will work with an individual with an intellectual disability and/or chronic mental illness. The individuals we work with require support, either in their home or out in their community. As a Direct Support Professional is there to provide support, assistance, and instruction in learning independent living skills like: Money management Socialization Cooking Personal hygiene Goal Setting and achieving Communication and self-expression needs Coping skills Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and show proof of auto insurance. Satisfactory results on background check pertaining to criminal and abuse registries. Experience is preferred, but not required. We provide the training and tools that you need to be successful at First Resources Crop.
