Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and coordination of Dining Service operations• Perform activities related to food preparation and presentation, merchandising, cost calculation, scheduling, and employee relations• Maintain safety and sanitary conditions• Supervise Cooks, Food Service Supervisors, and Food Service Aides
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED• Four years experience in commercial or institutional food preparation or food service• General knowledge and understanding of large-scale food preparation and service• Thorough knowledge of food selection, preservation, meal service, and portion control• General knowledge of sanitation and safety practices• Ability to interpret menus, follow recipes, operate equipment, oversee cleaning, supervise personnel, communicate effectively, lift and transport supplies, and work in adverse conditions• Additional related experience and formal education may be substituted for requirements
