Department Profile:Morgan Stanley's Global Sustainability Office (GSO) aims to drive the growth of sustainable investing through ongoing development of products and solutions, thought leadership and capacity building initiatives. Within GSO, the Global Sustainable Finance (GSF) team is seeking a results-driven Digital Product Manager to support the team's incubation and execution of innovative digital sustainable finance applications and services that integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into core business globally. GSO works closely with partners across Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Investment Management, Institutional Securities Group, Technology, Compliance and Firm Risk Management.Job Summary:We are seeking a talented and motivated digital product manager to join the Global Sustainable Finance Digital Products team. The Global Sustainable Finance Digital Products team manages a growing suite of digital products that enable sustainable finance and investing solutions across the Firm's businesses and client segments. The candidate will collaborate closely with a team of Product Managers, Data Scientists and Engineers to design, deliver and manage digital applications that enable decision makers to leverage relevant sustainability and climate data and insights. The candidate will be expected to move fluidly between business objectives, user needs/requirements, and technical platforms. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in digital product management and financial services, a passion for environmental and social sustainability, an entrepreneurial mindset, and strong interpersonal and product management skills. Partnership and collaboration with data scientists, engineers and senior business stakeholders across Morgan Stanley will be key to success. The candidate may be asked to assist with projects related to other areas of GSO including, but not limited to, corporate sustainability initiatives and the Institute for Sustainable Investing.Responsibilities:- Product Management for digital products and features that enable users to achieve their sustainability and climate goals- Partner across the GSO, Technology and other internal teams to develop and enhance digital capabilities that enable the firm to measure and monitor financed emissions and other climate-related metrics that will support our commitment to reach net-zero financed emissions by 2050- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements- Identify opportunities, define requirements, prioritize features, and establish timelines and approaches for sustainable finance digital product delivery- Define and track KPIs and product/program adoption and usage metrics evangelize for adoption- Manage agile product delivery: Write detailed User Stories and lead daily standup calls with engineering and UX teams as part of an Agile cadence- Perform data due-diligence and quantitative analysis as part of User Acceptance Testing to ensure quality control- Extract key insights from data and user research to inform product development- Support product growth and user engagement by communicating the vision and value of digital tools and applications with end users- Support the rollout and enhancement of CRM system capabilities for the GSO team- Manage product roadmaps- Proactively identify and resolve product risks#LI-CG2Qualifications:- Undergraduate degree with 6-8 years of work experience in Financial Services, Fintech, or Product Management- Ability to effectively capture, synthesize, and document business requirements, data flow processes, use cases, test cases and user stories- Passionate about data and technology with an intense focus on the user- Analytical and numbers-driven, ensuring decisions made are fact-based- Comfortable with SQL and/or Python- An eye for UI/UX design and being able to communicate with designers and developers- Results-oriented with a bias for action and a keen eye for detail- Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to navigate multiple business and technology stakeholders- Ability to work effectively as a member of a cross-functional team and independently as a self-starter- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to identify and solve critical problems and achieve stretch goals- Passion for driving positive impact is essential- Familiarity with ESG data, frameworks, or climate change dynamics in a business context- Preferred: Product Management, Product Owner &/or Agile certificationExpected base pay rates for the role will be between 85,000and 135,000per year at the commencement of employment.  However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.Morgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
