Responsibilities
• Adhere to directives of supervisors• Keep the dietary area clean and sanitary• Have genuine interest in working with the elderly• Perform routine tasks despite interruptions• Maintain communication with department members• Consider residents in surrounding areas• Maintain assigned area in a clean and orderly fashion• Handle and clean dirty dishes, trays, utensils, and equipment• Work well with co-workers and supervisors• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes• Organize tray assembly and meal service• Report equipment problems• Maintain records for food and supplies• Communicate needs and recommendations to supervisor• Attend in-service programs• Perform other necessary duties
Requirements
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions• Previous dietary services experience preferred• Physical ability to carry out duties• Knowledge of quality food preparation and service• Knowledge of food service equipment and cleaning equipment• Interest in learning and ability to cooperate• Adherence to company policies• Availability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays• Completion of pre-employment and annual tuberculosis screening• Possession of required health certificate
