For more than 75 years, their products have been used to build the communities where Americans live, work and play.We seek an Experienced Diesel Mechanic/ Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our customer, County Materials in the Village of Butler, address is 5000 North 124th Milwaukee, WI.Monday- Friday 7:00 am- 4:00 pmUp to $40.00/hrMilitary service members and veterans are encouraged to apply.Job DutiesTroubleshoot and diagnose equipment.Schedule and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic repairs on equipment as needed.Ensure safety guidelines are followed at all times and properly documentedProvide emergency & unscheduled repairs of equipmentPerform general-purpose steel fabrication and welding.Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform necessary repairs and/or equipment service.Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, material handling equipment, welders, and torches in performing duties.Maintain work areas in clean and orderly condition.Obtain quotes on parts and supplies and install parts to machinery as needed.Communicate with vendors to ensure equipment is properly maintained and installed.Communicate with dispatch and shop staff to schedule equipment for maintenanceEnvironmentWork in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperaturesWork near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazardsWork in a noisy environmentPhysical RequirementsSittingCarrying/Lifting 10 - 40 PoundsStanding / Walking / ClimbingSquatting/Crouching/Kneeling/BendingPushing / Pulling / Reaching Above ShoulderExperience & Qualifications2+ years experience in diesel mechanics.Pro-active, multi-tasked, self-motivated team player and positive attitude is a must.Strong hydraulic, mechanical, welding, and industrial experienceValid driver's license and clean driving record.Central Processing Corporation connects candidates with rewarding careers in concrete manufacturing, an industry thats growing faster than most.
