Salary Range: $ 60,000 – $86,500

Supervisor:  Senior Director of Development
Job Classification:  Full-time, Exempt
The Development Operations Manager will work closely with the Development Team to support the successful execution of a multi-million-dollar fundraising plan. The Development Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the Development Department, including gift processing, prospect research, database management, and administrative support.
Role and Responsibilities Create and implement development operations procedures, policies, and strategies in partnership with the Senior Director of Development Manage day-to-day operations of development office including gift processing and documentation, data entry, reporting. Support Development team members with grant proposals and reporting. Manage grant proposal and report submission process and connected assets, including associated operational components (i.e. portal access, standardized grant language, etc.) Lead SalesForce CRM implementation on behalf of the Development team, in partnership with the Senior Director of Development, Senior Director of Operations, and Chief Financial Officer. Manage donor database, including corporate, foundation, and individual records, ensuring integrity of all data input or revisions and record-keeping. Lead account reconciliation in partnership with Finance Department. Manage and track all prospecting for development team. Manage a growing portfolio of funders including ERGs, groups, and associations. Research potential partners, sourcing from publicly available data and APIA Scholars leadership. Lead efforts to liaise across APIA Scholars' Finance, Operations, Programs, Communications, Scholarships, and Research & Policy departments to successfully shepherd reports and new grant opportunities. Successfully track and execute completion of grant reports. Support the execution of APIA Scholars' annual giving campaigns, including Give in May, Giving Tuesday, and End of Year Giving. Track and analyze campaigns, recommending innovation where needed and possible. Independently draft compelling copy, sourcing content from across APIA Scholars' Programs, Research & Policy, and Scholarships departments. Liaising with APIA Scholars' Communications department on production of visual and multimedia content. Qualifications and Education Minimum 3 years of related work experience. BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience. Demonstrated familiarity with nonprofit fundraising strategies. Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize concurrent short- and long-term tasks with competing deadlines. Proactive and collaborative communicator to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to a variety of diverse stakeholders/constituents. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms. Deep commitment to APIA Scholars' mission and strategy with a demonstrated understanding of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) cultures and the issues affecting these communities. Perform work with accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills, cultural competency, and ability to work independently and in team settings. Excellent written and oral communication. Ability to tailor messaging to a variety of diverse stakeholders/constituents strongly preferred.
