Manager, Society of Fellows 

JOB PURPOSE:Under the direction of the Director, Society of Fellows, the Development Manager, Society of Fellows, is responsible for implementing membership renewal and upgrade strategies, developing membership programs, ensuring benefit fulfillment, and stewarding Society Fellows members. This position will serve as the liaison to the Committee of 100 (C100) auxiliary volunteer group and oversee special events for high-level members and high-capacity donors as needed.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Fundraising and Communication: Develop and implement strategies to acquire, retain, and upgrade Society of Fellows members ($1,500 - $50,000) to meet annual revenue goal. Responsible for writing copy for monthly print and email campaigns and recruitment and member upgrade appeals. Will work directly with Graphic Design and development team to coordinate print deadlines and program calendar.Events and Special Program Management: Create custom events for Society of Fellows members and special programs for additional donor groups. Collaborate with the museum's curatorial and learning and engagement teams, as needed, to create unique program opportunities. Manage event planning, including budget, invitation lists, design, entertainment, and logistics, with assistance from museum event planning team.
Data Informed Strategy: Recommend new and/or improved strategies based on data analytics to increase membership revenue across all channels. Produce and maintain membership reports, lists, and solicitation schedules.
Auxiliary Liaison: Serve as liaison for The Committee of 100 (C100) by attending meetings, assisting with C100 programs, and nurturing volunteers to foster better relationships. Support the Society of Fellows Board of Directors.
Development: Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to the annual goals of the museum's division and mission.
Other: Fulfill all assigned duties as necessary to provide general support to the organization.
CORE CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Education/
Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 5 years in individual giving/fundraising programs.Strong expertise using Tessitura or other CRM software.Proven success at multi-tasking, has successfully handled several projects at one time.Experience working with volunteers and/or donor constituents.Extensive knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and ethics; an understanding of annual giving and membership strategies. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Working conditions are typically that of an office environment. Works primarily at a desk, uses a PC/ Perform with frequent interruptions and/or distractions. The ability to attend on-site meetings/events within the museum and museum properties. Perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.
Hours/Travel Expectations
Monday to Friday Workweek. Will occasionally work nights, weekends, and holidays to complete work assignments and/or attend work-related events/programs.  
0-5% of Travel Required
