Guardian House is a growing nonprofit organization serving children and families with a history of domestic violence and mental health issues. Families are referred to us from the courts and child welfare system. We are seeking dynamic, qualified individuals to join our amazing Guardian House team and help us meet our mission of embracing the best interest of every child by teaching families how to build strong, positive relationships.
Position Summary: The Development Coordinator will organize and administer fundraising efforts to include updating annual fundraising plan, organizing fundraising events, coordinating and monitoring grant processes, maintaining donor relationships, securing new donors and assisting with updating the website.
Responsibilities: ? Monitor and update annual fundraising plan on a quarterly basis.
? Perform tasks necessary to assist with logistics and details for events.
? Maintain grant schedule, grant submissions and donor database and manage all aspects of community grant funding process to include annual reporting.
? Research and identify appropriate new grant funding.
? Implement strategies to attract new donors, including hosting outreach events, social media and engaging with networking connections.
? Maintain donor relationships through various stewardship opportunities.
? Ensure all gift processing, solicitation, acknowledgement, and invoicing efforts across campaigns are completed in a timely manner.
? Assist with updating the organization website.
? Attend and serve as organization representative for events as needed.
Qualifications ? Bachelor's degree and prior experience with grants, donor stewardship, and event planning preferred.
? Highly self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
? Strong interpersonal, and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
? Excellent written communication skills, including proofreading and editing skills.
? Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow through with minimal direction.
? Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
? Proficient with fundraising software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Constant Contact.
Physical Requirements ? Able to sit and work at a computer for several hours at a time.
? Intermittent physical activities including bending over, reaching, sitting and walking during working hours.
? Ability to self-transport.
? Special event work may require carrying loads of up to 25 pounds.
Base Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 annually
