Description:
The Plant IT Support Technician will be responsible for IT customer support throughout the entire WSC facility. The role will perform defined IT support activities (such as hardware preparation and installation, 1st level support,), in order to directly support production processes.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as primary support liaison for WSC with Plant IT personnel and client support options
- Sets-up manufacturing workplaces with respect to general and specific programs needed and performs respective installation and testing.
- Escalates calls and cooperates internally to answer requests.
- Participates in maintaining a log of problems so that recurring problems can be reported to product development.
Exceptional organizational skills, communication, and personal management skills are a must for the successful candidate. Skills are required with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through ownership, collaboration, and motivating others. The candidate must have the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.
Candidate should be able to work variable hours to cover facility needs.
Education, Knowledge/Skills, and Experience:
- 2 years + in an IT role
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with similar responsibilities.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Previous Help Desk experience a plus.
- Requires 0% Travel
Job Family Responsibilities: Provide basic IT support and problem resolution to the WSC facility.
General Requirements:
Education: AS/AA in a related discipline is preferred but an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrates and applies knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for the area and basic knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact. Demonstrates understanding and application of approaches for self-direction, motivation, and performance management. Typically, 2+ years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
Employment Type: Contractor
Salary: $ 15.00 17.00 Per Hour
