The Designer, I&C participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems: Instrumentation and Controls, Telecommunications, Fire Alarm, and Security.
Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesAssists in developing technology systems construction documents using architectural background layouts and system performance requirements defined by the project team including the architect, engineer and project manager Assists senior staff with services during construction, including responding to RFIs, shop drawing and submittal review, and as-built drawings Assists in pre-design project activities, such as site assessment, site plan review, and verification of as built conditions Assists in developing projects in compliance with engineering codes, standards, principles, relevant specifications and contractual requirements Assists project team to find optimum system solutions, routing, materials, and space management for equipment and various cable distribution systems Assists in the production of construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and coordinate with other disciplines Assists in development of construction drawings, specifications, details, schedules and diagrams for electrical and lighting systems Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables Mentor interns and junior members of project teams Other related design services include coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering/ internal and external) Assists in performing quality control reviews of work developed by others Other duties as assigned The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
