Overview: NFIB is looking for a Design Coordinator to join our team. We are an energetic group passionate about advocating for small business rights at the state and federal level. Responsibilities: The Design Coordinator uses graphic design, deliverable coordination, and project management to bring the NFIB brand to life through sophisticated digital and print collateral. This includes collaboration with all NFIB departments to deliver on-brand designs that support NFIB communications and marketing objectives with key audiences including small business owners and lawmakers.
Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; work outcomes must meet and / or exceed productivity and quality standards. Must be able to work as part of a cooperative team environment and independent of direct supervision; adhere to Company and Department policies and procedures, including regular and predictable attendance. Performs other projects as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Associate degree in Graphic Design or related field with three or more years of in-office professional design experience showcasing versatility in both print and digital design; OR high school diploma/GED with four or more years of professional in-office design experience demonstrating high standards of versatility in both print and digital design.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud with emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience designing end-to-end creative solutions from concept to pre-production and strong understanding of digital output and printing specifications. Comfortable handling multiple projects, strong time management skills, and ability to prioritize effectively. Work with a broad range of internal stakeholders to complete projects on time and on brand. Able to cultivate positive working relationships with a range of internal stakeholders across multiple departments. Detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills. Consistently display professionalism, diplomacy, confidentiality, initiative, and sound judgment. Ability to advocate for brand consistency and stewardship. The position is based in our DC office and will be hybrid, with at least two days in-office and three days virtual. There may be occasional travel for meetings – 1 to 4 trips a year.
