SUMMARY
This temporary position focuses on supporting the domestic wholesale collection and swim categories to provide coverage during design department maternity leaves.Candidates must be within reasonable commutingdistance of the Mumu HQ in Downtown LA.This role's schedule is hybrid and works in an open office a minimum of 3 days per week.
CORE DUTIES
Attends and takes detailed notes in the bi-weekly design meetings for the wholesale collection
Responsible for updating domestic CADs on the master line sheet weekly and as needed
Responsible for updating the category line sheet and design boards weekly by coordinating with team members on CAD deadlines to ensure the category line sheets are updated in time for design meetings
Helps coordinate and keep the design room clean alongside team members
Attends weekly fittings alongside the Creative Director and Coordinator to takes notes on any trim and style changes
Responsible for finalizing and executing the fabric guide
Attends the weekly Team Collection Meeting and is responsible for sharing and presenting the master fast track line sheet to the team
Responsible for updating the master fast track line sheet weekly with cad and status updates as needed
Responsible for executing any fast track domestic styles submitted by the buyers. This includes creating the initial CAD, adding the CAD to the master fast track line sheet and submitting the BOMs *see fast track procedure for details
Responsible for working alongside the RM team to submit fabric requests as needed
Responsible for sitting in weekly print development reviews alongside RM team for approvals and resubmits
Maintain and organize all sample racks
Responsible for coordinating all development graphic tees in main collection and fast track (domestic); this includes communication with the graphic designer, communication and sample drop off with the screen printer.
Responsible for execution and timeline calendar timeline of graphic tees for wholesale domestic and fast track styles
Updates Swim CADs and line sheets weekly as needed
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment, flexible in changing direction as needed.
Familiar and comfortable working in Adobe Suites Apps- specifically Illustrator
Must be able to execute CAD illustrations in Adobe Illustrator
PC literate with basic understanding and skills in using keyboard and Microsoft office products
Candidate must be highly organized with ability to prioritize with a sense of urgency and be a team player
Must have experience in measuring garments and garment construction
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2-3 years product development or technical design work experience
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in fashion design or product development preferred
Dynamic analytical, problem solving and project management abilities- must be a self starter
Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities
Knowledge with MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge with Adobe applications- Photoshop & Illustrator
Able to work and think independently as well as part of a team.
