The National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) is the nation's largest independent union of federal employees, representing 150,000 workers in 35 federal agencies and departments. There is a vacancy at the NTEU National Office, located in Washington, DC, for a Deputy Director of Operations . The Deputy Director is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Operations & Administration to improve the internal organizational business processes and infrastructure that will assist NTEU in continuing to grow, become more efficient, and fulfill its mission:

Oversee Membership Records and work to improve the efficiency of membership processing and new member communications. Oversee the Membership Awards program to create a more effective and efficient program that provides incentives for the recruitment of new members and that will build the membership strength of NTEU chapters. Oversee the NTEU Member Benefits program and develop strategies for expanding the program and increasing the benefits that are provided. Assist the Director of Operations & Administration in developing strategies to continue to improve the administration of local NTEU chapters to ensure chapters are meeting their administrative and financial responsibilities. Assist the Director of Operations & Administration with the oversight of the NTEU Information Systems functions. Assist the Director of Operations & Administration with the oversight of NTEU's Financial Operations. Qualifications 2-3 years of operational, financial, and administrative management experience Excellent organizational skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to supervise and work well in a team environment Excellent time management skills Proficient use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Personal Qualities of Top Candidates Equity: Prioritizing fairness in employment practices, working conditions, and treatment; advocating for equitable opportunities and diversity in all forms; and demanding respect and dignity for all federal employees.
