Salary: $130,540 - $159,395
Location: 33 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Position Summary: COTA's Deputy Chief of Staff serves as an advisor and partners directly with COTA's President/CEO, Deputy CEO and Chief of Staff to spearhead strategic initiatives that advance COTA's mission and vision. This includes providing strategic support, overseeing day-to-day administrative operations, and facilitating communication between the leadership team, division staff and the community.
This role requires a dynamic individual capable of navigating complex decision-making, managing key projects, and developing collaboration with the executive team.
Performs other duties in alignment with the ******** COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision to Move Every Life Forward. This Position is Responsible For: Supports the Chief of Staff by managing communication flow, scheduling, and prioritizing tasks, ensuring seamless administrative operations. Facilitates cross-functional collaboration between departments, fostering communication and synergy to achieve strategic goals and improve overall organizational efficiency. Spearheads strategic initiatives on behalf of the Deputy CEO and Chief of Staff by collaborating with executive leadership to define organizational objectives, streamlining processes, and aligning business strategies for optimal performance. Researches and analyzes external stakeholders, preparing the President/CEO and Deputy CEO with comprehensive insights, and forms relationships with key external partners on behalf of the President/CEO and Deputy CEO to enhance collaboration. Oversees the development and implementation of effective stakeholder and civic engagement strategies, including initiative-taking engagement plans with external stakeholders, leaders and key staff in the business and economic development communities, non-profit sector, and other key sectors who might influence and impact COTA; ensure timely response to stakeholder needs, concerns, inquiries, and keep them informed of critical issues. Leads the development and implementation of effective stakeholder and civic engagement strategies, including initiative-taking engagement plans with external stakeholders, leaders and key staff; ensures timely response to stakeholder needs, concerns, inquiries, and keeps them informed of critical issues. Supports and advises the executive leadership team in understanding and considering the full range of stakeholder interests in agency policies, procedures, practices, and other activities. At Minimum You'll Need: Requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience in community relations or public affairs. An equivalent combination of education and experience in business, public administration, corporate affairs, or project management will also be considered.
