Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, visitors, and team members. Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly. Maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the front office area. Insurance Claims: Prepare and submit insurance claims accurately and promptly. Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and resolve any issues or discrepancies. Insurance Payments: Post insurance payments to patient accounts and reconcile balances. Ensure accurate recording of insurance payments and adjustments. Handle any insurance-related inquiries from patients or insurance providers. Insurance Appeals: Preparation and submission of insurance appeals when claims are denied. Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve appeal issues. Billing Statements: Generate and send billing statements to patients in a timely manner. Answer questions and provide clarification regarding patient billing statements. Follow up with patients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements. Audits: Conducting daily audits of patient accounts for accuracy and compliance from the previous day. Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors found during audits. Ensure adherence to office policies. Deposits: Process daily deposits and reconcile payment records. Print A/R reports. Patient Check-Out: Answering phones Greet patients warmly and handle check-out procedures efficiently. Schedule follow-up appointments and provide necessary instructions to patients. Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients. Qualifications: Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and patient care. Three years experience in dental office administration or a similar role required . Professional apperance. Proficiency in dental practice management software (Dentrix is a plus,). Strong knowledge of dental insurance procedures, including claims processing and appeals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and experience with financial transactions. Cross-trained with back office is preferred.
