Responsibilities
• Projects and estimates demographic and economic information for Ohio and its subdivisions• Calculates statistics and performs statistical analysis on demographic data• Develops new techniques in estimating and demographic research methodologies• Enters and updates statistical data into computer program• Develops and maintains computer programs for specialized demographic reports• Writes detailed technical documentation and journal articles• Collects statistical data for federal population estimates• Prepares and presents population status reports• Responds to demographic inquiries• Provides technical assistance to demographic data users• Maintains records and technical evaluations of demographic projections and estimates
Requirements
• Completion of undergraduate core program in statistics/mathematics• 12 months training or experience in research-related field• Or completion of graduate core program in statistics, mathematics, or research-related field• Strong technical skills in data analytics, research, and statistics/mathematics• Professional skills in analyzation, customer focus, interpreting data, and written communication
