North State Stone is seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team and handle the delivery of stone packages to our valued customers. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of stone packages to various locations. Position Summary The North State Stone Delivery Driver is responsible for safely hauling materials to commercial and residential job sites within various local and regional locations.
Essential Responsibilities Assists with checking inventory for accuracy, loading materials on the truck using a forklift and strapping down the loads in a safe manner, ensuring no shifting during transport.
Delivers stone packages to multiple residential and commercial job sites on a daily basis.
Ensures materials are delivered to the correct location and unloaded in the necessary spots to ensure easy access.
Confirms deliver by taking pictures of the final delivery
Communicates regularly with Warehouse Manager and Logistics Coordinator to align on scheduling and materials
Obtain important details from supervisor to understand the schedule for the day,
Conduct administrative activities to include calendar management, service dates and driver logs and tracking fuel usage.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills Must have previous commercial driving experience, construction industry preferred
Class A license, required
Must be Forklift Certified
Strong attention to safety
Excellent interpersonal capability
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to stay on schedule.
Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and driving a vehicle, bending, walking, lifting, operating a forklift. At times it will be exposed to warehouse and construction sites with a
variety of weather conditions and varying degrees of heat. Ability to work on a computer, use a GPS working on a computer. Some standing and walking in a warehouse environment. Generally working hours are from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
