SUMMARY Chapel Electric seeks a Delivery Driver to be responsible for loading, unloading, delivering, and picking up parts and materials for our team.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Driver Duties: Deliver and pick up parts, tools, and materials for jobs, vendors, and customers.
Load and unload delivery truck at all stops.
Turn in paperwork in a timely manner.
Assists in all aspects of general warehouse duties as directed by supervisor.
Keep vehicles clean and maintained as needed.
Wear seat belts at all times when company vehicle is moving.
Wear all PPE, gloves, hard hat, eye protection as required.
Secure all loads properly, with safety and protecting the material a priority.
No passengers in the company vehicle without management approval.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, depending on position.
Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
2 years of delivery driver experience, particularly in loading and unloading.
Candidate is required to be organized, detail oriented and have time management skills.
Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, or in a team atmosphere while acting responsibly and maintaining a professional attitude.
Have the ability to multi-task and be flexible while working in a fast-paced environment.
Possess knowledge of good customer service techniques, have a congenial personality, and a helpful attitude.
Understand and communicate with both verbal and written skills.
Physical activities of standing, balancing, climbing stairs & ladders, walking and lifting of weights of 50 lbs. or more are required in daily performance of job.
Use of upper extremities required for forward and overhead reaching, pushing and pulling, and material handling.
Use of torso and lower extremities required for kneeling, crawling, stooping, twisting, and squatting.
Forklift certification is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to commute to field locations and various job sites. The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site locations.
