Job Summary:
As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to develop insightful business intelligence reporting and streamline processes through advanced data modeling, SQL programming, and ETL tools. Your role will involve evaluating existing databases, SQL queries, and SSIS jobs to effectively organize and present data in alignment with evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze information from various systems to optimize data control and enhance efficiency.
Prepare comprehensive documentation, including flow charts and diagrams, to outline system capabilities and processes.
Develop business-focused reporting solutions utilizing SQL Server 2016 and IBM Cognos Analytics.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless connectivity and compatibility across systems.
Conduct technical research to evaluate system upgrades and propose feasible solutions.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding processed, stored, or accessed information.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with a focus on cognitive reasoning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with effective presentation abilities.
Proficiency in translating user requirements into automated data reports.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Practical experience with SQL, SQL Server, Windows Operating Systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Flexibility to work varied hours/days to support system needs.
Accredited college-level training or equivalent experience.
Preferences:
Experience with SQL Server 2016+, IBM Cognos Analytics, and Visual Studio 2017+.
Over two years of experience in SQL query writing, T-SQL, SSIS package building, and job scheduling.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
