The Database Assistant will support CLA SoCal's case management database and related applications. This position supports the Database Manager to provide useful information for case management, fund development, grant reporting, evaluation, and general analysis. This part-time non-exempt position reports to the Database Manager.

Responsibilities

Learn the LegalServer case management system and stay current with system enhancements and changes.
Provide user support for the LegalServer case management system.
Create and monitor routine and on demand reports from Legal Server and Power BI.
Help develop report naming conventions and architecture.
Create and maintain workflows to assist with data entry for staff members and other applications.
Support the integrity of data for organization-wide reporting
Assist with data entry when needed.
Always pay attention to detail, process work accurately and in a timely manner.
Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
Be highly organized.
Work closely with Operations and Legal Services staff
Other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Align with CLA SoCal IT policies/ procedures.
Requirements 3 years' experience in database support or similar role that includes data entry as well as organization best practices.
At least 1 year experience creating queries and modeling data in Power BI.
Must have experience using Microsoft Office 365 and Power Platform.
Familiarity with SharePoint.
Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity for learning new systems.
Knowledge of database normalization.
Experience working in LegalServer, Salesforce or other CRMs.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to craft guidance for end-user and create training tools.
The ability to work autonomously.
Excellent teamwork skills and communication.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize among competing tasks while maintaining focused attention to detail.
A positive attitude and work style in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

2 Years' experience in LegalServer.
2 Years' experience working in a legal aid or other nonprofit organization.
Ability to read and modify Python code.
Ability to write and debug SQL.
