Responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable and secure database solutions based on organizational requirements.• Evaluate and recommend database technologies and tools to meet business goals and objectives.• Develop and maintain data models to represent the organization's information architecture.• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and normalization across databases.• Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure optimal responsiveness and efficiency.• Identify and address bottlenecks, database tuning, and optimization opportunities.• Implement and enforce data security policies to safeguard sensitive information.• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data management.• Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate database systems with applications.• Provide technical guidance and support to the development team on database-related issues.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related scientific/technical discipline, 10 years of additional relevant experience considered in lieu of Degree.• 2 years of experience architecting enterprise wide database solutions.• Prior experience in a federal data warehouse and understanding of government procedures and regulations is preferred.• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
