Job Description SummaryThis role needs to be in Charleroi, PAAs a Database and Systems Specialist, you will be responsible in operating, and delivering best in class Database services to our Business. You will be creating and implementing standardized database management procedures, and overseeing the installation, security and upgrading of our databases. To ensure success as the Database and Systems Specialist, you should possess extensive knowledge of database architecture, industry leading practices with extensive experience in a similar role.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities?Assumes sole ownership of database administration activities including creating databases, data objects and managing database accessResearch and troubleshoot issues involving all aspects of digital solutions, including configuration, administration, user interface, network, communication connectivity and performance, Cloud and on-premise component interoperability, data collection/storage, visualization, analytics, machine monitoring software and associated control systems, hardware infrastructure, and interfaces to enterprise systems such as ERP (SAP), PLM, EANDON, TAKT, LOS, MES, EASY, SUPPORT CENTRAL NEXTGEN, EDMATS, EANDON platforms.Development of existing digital solutions, value stream – including building complex customized workflows while broadening knowledge of own technical discipline and complying with all organization policies and proceduresA job at this level requires candidate to create meaningful relationships with key stakeholders across unit, ensuring their needs from a product support perspective are managed and met Monitor system performance and take necessary actions to address performance deteriorationsContinuously improve existing databases and workflows to reduce waste and increase efficiencyParticipate in Process Improvement & Process Kaizen activities to identify digital tool opportunitiesCreate digital forms to eliminate paper waste & improve traceability in the factoryRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED)Minimum of 5 years database operations support experience with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practicesMinimum of 3 years of experience in software development & creating new database solutionsDesired CharacteristicsStrong understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.Ability and willingness to take initiative - Can work autonomous to make decisions within a defined framework.Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills; and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions.High level of energy and enthusiasm with the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environmentExperience with the Support Central NextGen, SharePoint, HCL Domino, etc.Willing to develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline which may include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad areaUse good interpersonal skills to support/conduct trainings for various digital platformsOpen-minded to new perspectives or ideas or unusual solutions when appropriateProvide guidance and coordinate systems tasks to meet the site requirements.Knowledge of general network communications / IT systems and troubleshooting toolAbility to sit or stand for extended periods of timeExperience with the SAP User Assignment, ARMThe salary range for this position is 74,800.00 - 93,500.00 - 112,200.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
