A day in the life. As a Data Specialist on the Greenville-based Employee Health and Benefits team, you play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely submission of corporate billing information to finance. You will also perform commission reporting, tracking, and auditing. Your daily tasks will require strong analytical skills, advanced audit capabilities, and consultative skills to manage large amounts of data effectively. This involves filtering, identifying discrepancies, and preparing the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Thinking critically and evaluating information from multiple perspectives is essential for drawing accurate conclusions from data Ability to manage large amounts of data by filtering, identifying discrepancies, and preparing the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, take initiative, be solution-focused, and be a change agent for the organization Functional responsibilities require a thorough knowledge of associated systems and a demonstrated ability to understand the basics of insurance and agency operations Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and advanced audit capabilities Communication occurs with persons inside and outside the organization in a customer service-related manner Must be able to manage multiple priorities and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Must have own transportation and ability to attend in-house and external meetings/events as required Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business management, or a related field is strongly desired Two to three years of forensic financial auditing experience is highly preferred; knowledge of or experience within benefits administration or agency support is preferred Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques, such as Tableau or Power BI preferred We know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes.
