Position: Data Quality Specialist
Location: Washington DC (Hybrid) or Remote
What You'll Do:
Provide strategic guidance to ensure the success of data quality teams, metadata management teams, and clients.
Deliver data quality policies and procedures, implement data quality tools, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Assist in deploying and managing an Enterprise Data Quality tool for a client with numerous data systems.
Facilitate collaboration and consensus-building among teams to promote the adoption of data quality tools.
Document data quality tool standards and processes, enabling efficient stewardship with SOPs, training, and tutorials.
Collaborate with technical teams to produce user-friendly documentation for data owners and their representatives.
Oversee the utilization of non-sensitive data quality results in dashboarding tools and integration into an enterprise data catalog.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in data governance or data quality.
2+ years of experience with data quality tools (experience with Collibra DQ or OWL preferred).
Proficiency in generating, assessing, and storing data quality results.
Strong SQL skills for custom queries and analysis to support data quality findings.
Track record of resolving data quality issues with various teams.
Experience in project and task management within agile and waterfall environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to train and mentor users of data quality tools.
Proficient in building and delivering presentations.
Familiarity with navigating organizational dynamics in large enterprises.
Preferred Skills:
Background in data architecture.
Extensive experience with data quality tools (preferably Collibra DQ or OWL).
