As a Data Center Architect, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Role will be a hybrid position based out of Bossier City, LA. This role will require onsite work once a week. HOW A DATA CENTER ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Designs and architects high availability data center architectures Develops comprehensive plans for server, storage, and network configurations to meet current and future business requirements Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data center designs Ensures high availability, disaster recovery, and security measures are incorporated into the data center architectures Evaluates and recommends new technologies to enhance data center capabilities and performance Identifies solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements designs Assesses the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements Ensures technical teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives Develops, enhances, and maintains established service design procedure and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies Prepares and presents test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefings Identifies customer requirements, analyzes alternatives, and conducts product recommendations related to software, platform, and network configurations Provides updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objectives Focuses on developing automation and 'infrastructure as code' within existing and greenfield environments both on-prem and in the cloud Develops technology roadmaps WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: BA/BS and 20+ years of experience or equivalent years of experience Cisco network experience and/or systems engineering experience 8+ years of Network Architect Experience Experience with multi-vendor platforms from Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Fortinet Experience with Nexus, VMware, Nutanix, EMC (Vmax, VNX, Isilon) Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, storage solutions, and backup technologies Proficient in network protocols, routing, and switching (Cisco) Solid understanding of security best practices in data center environments Strong communication and collaboration skills Relevant certifications are a plus (Cisco, Microsoft, etc.) NICE TO HAVE: Master's Degree Experience with mainframes Active security clearance Hybrid cloud experience GDIT IS YOUR PLACE: Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home 401K with company match Comprehensive health and wellness packages Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications Cutting-edge technology you can learn from Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays
The likely salary range for this position is $157,250 - $212,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly Hours:
