DATA BASE ANALYST II -( T211321)
Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Data Base Analyst II to administer the daily administration of 24 servers at the School of Dentistry. Most servers running in a VMWare environment are located at the School of Dentistry or in the Campus Data IT Center. Software administration of Enterprise Client/Server patient and image management systems, including: Salud, MiPACs, Dolphin and CBCT systems. Ensures proper execution of IT system projects including acquisition, deployment, training, conversion, documentation, and management. Works closely with UAB Central IT and HSIS on database maintenance and capacity planning. Ensures proper processes and quality control processes are in place to ensure data integrity and security. Supervises processes, procedures, and projects. Microsoft SQL server database performance integrity monitoring, SQL scripting, Report and Dashboard creation and manipulation using Crystal Reports and SAP Business Objects Dashboard developer. Maintain reports and dashboards on SAP Business Objects 4.1 (formally known as Crystal Reports Server). Creation and maintaining database standards and policies. Supports database design, creation and testing activities. Manages database performance, including incident and problem management. Administers database objects to achieve optimum utilization. Designs, implement and monitor database backup, archiving, storage strategy, and recovery. Monitors usage, volume, and response times for Salud. Ensures appropriate faculty/employee/student access and authentication through active director groups. Assessing, planning for, implementing new third-party imaging solutions in SOD clinics as well as ongoing troubleshooting issues. Responsible for yearly risk management assessment, reporting, and solutions.
Annual Salary: $60,835 - $98,855
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. A list of experience and education substitutions can be found on the UAB Compensation website, if job allows for such substitutions.
Preferred:
Ability to manage a server environment Knowledge of authentication tools/methods Desire to learn new programs Experience in a large mainframe environment with at least three (3) years in system implementation, support, and management Experience in data security and disaster recovery concepts Primary Location : University Job Category : Information Technology Organization : ******** Health Info & Business Systems Employee Status : Regular Shift : Day/1st Shift
