Job summary
The Senior Data Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate career outcome data for The Graduate School (TGS).They also provide support to the Training Grant Support Office in ensuring accurate information about doctoral student admissions and outcomes.The position involves maintaining a central database of faculty affiliation and fulfilling data and research requests for TGS staff and campus partners.

Responsibilities
• Utilizing internet resources to find and verify career outcomes for TGS graduates• Uploading and entering graduate career outcomes into the Career Outcomes Tracking System• Completing lookups for 3, 5, and 10 years out from graduation• Monitoring reports to ensure the system is working correctly and addressing any issues• Conducting an annual mailing to departments to request career updates• Creating and running queries in the training grant database system• Cleaning and uploading data into the grant template• Verifying faculty lists and creating spreadsheets for program leadership• Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience• Experience with PeopleSoft student information system• Experience with relational databases and data warehousing techniques• Strong knowledge and aptitude for Excel• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications• Comfort with storage and spreadsheet management of large complex databases• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines• Excellent attention to accuracy and detail• Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
