Role Overview:
As a Senior Consultant / Technical Architect, you will collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams, both locally and remotely. Your role will involve leading technical and business discussions, providing guidance, and spearheading the design and implementation of data solutions. This position offers a unique blend of solutioning, consulting, and hands-on experience, where you'll have the opportunity to envision, design, and implement technical solutions in partnership with our clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of complex data-oriented solutions on Azure Data Platform, with a focus on data pipelines, data warehousing, and data modeling.
Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes using ADF/Synapse, Databricks, and other tools to move and transform data across various sources.
Architect and optimize data storage layers on Azure Data Lake and Synapse, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience.
Develop and optimize data models for high-performance analytical and reporting workloads, utilizing Azure SQL Server and other technologies.
Define data access policies and security measures for Azure data services.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams on multiple Data and Analytics projects, providing design and implementation guidance.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in architecture and design of highly scalable, performance-driven data and analytical solutions.
Extensive experience with Azure Data Platform, including ADF, Synapse, and Databricks.
Proficiency in data modeling, SQL programming, and optimizing database objects.
Familiarity with Oracle EDW and experience with data migration to Cloud DW is a plus.
Knowledge of Health Catalyst and data models in Health Catalysts is desirable.
Reporting Skills (Good to have):
Experience in building scalable reporting solutions using Power BI, including designing reports against cloud and on-premises data sources.
Proficiency in Power BI features such as Import models, Direct Query, DAX, etc.
Experience migrating reports from Tableau to Power BI is a bonus.
