We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Data Platform Governance Analyst, playing a pivotal role in the implementation and maintenance of our data governance and compliance frameworks.


As a Data Platform Governance Analyst, you will be instrumental in driving the implementation and ongoing operations of our data governance and compliance frameworks. Your primary focus will be on treating data as a valuable asset, ensuring ownership, and compliance, and establishing governance guardrails for our data platform. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to identify and prioritize data use cases, contributing to the development of a comprehensive governance roadmap.



Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, document, and enforce data governance and compliance policies, frameworks, and standards. Contribute to the development of a robust data governance model based on industry best practices, including policies, roles, and responsibilities. Establish common stewardship practices, policies, and metrics to manage data consistently across the enterprise. Support the implementation of scalable frameworks and standards while upholding integrity and privacy across our data ecosystem. Document and implement workflows, data policies, standards, and procedures for both legacy and new data environments. Ensure complete data lineage is captured and managed for our data, and perform data quality audits to identify and address issues. Drive the adoption of the compliance framework by internal and external project teams, data stewards, and owners. Provide user training, education, and documentation to support the adoption of consistent governance best practices. Partner with business units to assist with the adoption of enterprise data catalog and data model. Adhere to applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance related to privacy and data security. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, data and analytics, business administration, or related field. 4+ years of experience in data management. Experience in implementing or working within a Data Governance committee or framework. Proficiency in data cataloging solutions such as Alation, Collibra, or Informatica. Experience writing governance policies and user documentation. Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies and tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps. Strong stakeholder presentation skills and ability to facilitate conversations across diverse groups. Strong project management and organizational skills.
