Title: Data Analyst
HomeSafe Alliance is the single global household goods movement manager of over 300,000 Military Household Goods moves per year for USTRANSCOM and the U.S. Armed Forces, Department of Defense civilians, U.S. Coast Guard, and their families.
Data Analyst will turn raw data into visual understanding of process improvement for Global Household Goods transportation optimization and financial levers to control cost and improve profit margin. HomeSafe is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Data Analyst who will play a key role in leveraging data-driven insights to optimize transportation operations, enhance customer satisfaction, control cost, and improve operational and financial performance of our customer focused global household goods transportation services in support of our Department of Defense customers. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply advanced analytical techniques to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional service in the dynamic and fast-paced environment of the household goods logistics industry.
Responsibilities ::
+ Collect, clean, and analyze transportation data related to household goods shipments, including volume, weight, distance traveled, on time pack, pickup, haul, and delivery times, customer satisfaction score feedback, claims budget plan to actual, add comp budget plan to actual, 3rd party services budget plan to actual, services budget plan revenue and op income to actuals.
+ Utilize statistical methods and data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
+ Extract actionable insights to optimize transportation routes, improve resource allocation, and enhance operational efficiency.
+ Support efforts to optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and reduce delivery times. Analyze data and use transportation management software to identify opportunities for route optimization and consolidation.
+ Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to household goods transportation, such as on-time delivery rates, transit times, and customer satisfaction scores.
+ Monitor performance metrics regularly and provide timely updates to stakeholders, highlighting areas of improvement and optimization opportunities.
+ Apply predictive modeling techniques to forecast demand for household goods transportation services, considering seasonal fluctuations, market trends, and customer preferences.
+ Support data visualization for risk management quantification, and cost benefit valuations of process improvement cases.
Qualification and Skill Requirements :
+ Bachelor's degree in data analytics or data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field; (Master's degree preferred).
+ Proven 2-4 years' experience in data analysis, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen due tocontractualrequirements.?
+ Analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations. Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
+ Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
+ Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
+ Can code in Python, SQL , and or R languages.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and interpretation.
+ Providing support to teammates and management team as required.
+ Ability to work independently, work multiple priorities, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
