We need a data expert like you to bring your expertise to empower clients to understand data and improve operational awareness.
As a client-facing data analyst on our Chief Te chn ology Office team, you'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, you'll advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to impact the optimization of data insights.
How You'll Contribute:
As a data analyst on our team, you'll:
Use your data analytics expertise to support client and stakeholder relationships.
Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions by collecting, interpreting, evaluating, and analyzing data.
Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
Apply consulting and communication skills and data analytics expertise by simplifying te chn ical requirements and trends, based on audience.
Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages, such as SQL, Python, R, and Micro sof t Office Suite.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive te chn ical outcomes.
Apply data visualization through different formats, such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides
Grow your communication and te chn ical skills by merging consulting and big data to create data-centric solutions across the DoD.
Work with us to drive large-scale business and process decisions through data insights.

You Have:
3+ years of experience with data analysis
2+ years of experience with reading and comprehending conceptual, logical, and physical data models
2+ years of experience with SQL, relational, and dimensional databases
Experience with working in Agile environments
Experience with data querying, data mapping, and transformation analysis
Knowledge of business requirements
Ability to document source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and general documentation
Ability to be a strategic thi nk er who understands data implications across the enterprise ecosystem
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Marine Forces or Geographic Combatant Command
Experience with AWS, including products related to analytics, computing, databases, developer tools, and machine learning
Experience in working with data science and BI teams
Experience with developing solutions involving unstructured data
Experience with business intelligence and dashboarding tools
Experience in developing sof tware code with object-oriented programing languages, including Java, C++, or C#, or Java and scripting languages, including Python, R, Bash, Batch, and PowerShell
Experience with implementing a variety of supervised and unsupervised machine learning te chn iques, including clustering, decision tree learning, and artifi cia l neural networks
Knowledge of DoD data environments, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or Service headquarters
Knowledge of data standardization policies and standards sufficient to develop data management tools, including data dictionaries, data models, and metadata repositories
TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
