To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory items in designated areas using handheld scanners or other inventory management tools. Verify inventory accuracy by comparing physical counts to system records and investigating any discrepancies. Perform root cause analysis to identify the reasons for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation of cycle count results. Coordinate with other departments, including receiving, shipping, and production, to resolve inventory issues and discrepancies. Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move inventory items as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing inventory tasks. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to provide updates on inventory status and any issues encountered during cycle counts. Participate in inventory audits and physical inventory counts as required.
