Cybersecurity Manager

Inceed has partnered with a growing oil and gas company looking to grow their Cybersecurity team by adding a Cybersecurity Manager! This individual will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets and ensuring compliance with global cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in cybersecurity management, particularly in global company environments, and possess a deep understanding of emerging threats and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

Developing Security Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, aligning with business objectives and industry standards to mitigate risks and protect sensitive data.
Building Security Infrastructure: Design and deploy a robust security infrastructure from scratch, including network security, endpoint protection, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security gaps and prioritize remediation efforts, ensuring continuous monitoring and improvement of security posture.
Security Operations: Oversee day-to-day security operations, including incident response, threat intelligence analysis, and security awareness training, to minimize the impact of security incidents and breaches.
Compliance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST), conducting regular audits and assessments to maintain adherence to compliance requirements.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers, evaluating their capabilities, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the implementation of security solutions and services.
Security Awareness: Develop and implement security awareness programs and training initiatives to educate employees about cybersecurity best practices and promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
Incident Response and Forensics: Lead incident response efforts in the event of security breaches or incidents, coordinating with internal teams, law enforcement agencies, and external partners to contain and mitigate the impact of security incidents.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in cybersecurity management, with a focus on building security programs and platforms from scratch, preferably in a global company environment.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and technologies, with hands-on experience in implementing and managing security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and endpoint security.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST) and experience ensuring compliance within a global organization.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
Experience with cloud security, mobile security, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML in cybersecurity is a plus.
