As a vital member of our team, you'll be responsible for executing precise cutting operations to ensure the highest quality standards are met. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor and collaborating closely with the Production Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring efficiency and excellence in our manufacturing processes. The Cutting Technician is responsible for properly functioning the cutting machine (Lectra Q25). The employee will be responsible for cutting fabric needed for production and utilizes job orders and cut patterns to successfully complete job tasks.
Location: High Point, North Carolina, USA
Pay: $15.82-$21.50/hr.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm EST

RESPONSBIBILITIES · Pick the fabric rolls for cutting proposes
· Inspect material for defects prior to cutting
· Cut layers of fabric for multilayers cutting
· Feed the cutting machine with the layers
· Select the correct placement files in the machine software
· Unload the cutting machine
· Bundle the cut pieces for sewers
· Mark for defects, place and cut leather hives manually
· Setting up and shutting down the cutting machine
· Supports and assists sewers whenever necessary
· Inspect quality from domestic suppliers
· Basic maintenance upkeep of the cutting machine
· Assisting with Inventory
· Follow directives as given by the Production Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS · Previous 2-3 years of experience with cutting in a furniture environment
· Computer knowledge (Windows, excel, PDF, outlook and possibly CAD files)
· Previous experience with cutting machines strongly preferred (Gerber, Lectra etc.)
· Ability to lift, cary, push or pull up to 50 pounds
· Ability to read and interpret documents
· Specific vision ability required includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception and ability to adjust focus
· Ability to work within hot environments up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit
· Stand for the duration of the shift (8 hours)
