Customer Service Specialist (Customer Service I) Location Olathe, KS : Johnson County Health & Environment department is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of a Customer Service Specialist to work within the WIC Program. The position is primarily based at the Health Services Building, located at 11875 S. Sunset Drive, Suite 300, Olathe, KS 66061 with flexibility between Johnson County Northeast Offices, located at 6000 Lamar Ave, Mission, KS 66202, and has an option to work remotely two (2) days a week once fully trained. This position will close on October 17, 2023. Duties for this position will include:
Answers phones, refers calls and customers; greets customers and gives standard information in response to phone, email, or in-person inquiries. Creates and maintains files both public and confidential; distributes reports and performs data entry into systems; types form letters, labels, mail merges, and correspondence; proofreads information; schedules appointments, meetings, and other functions. Assists customers with completing routine forms when appropriate; collects forms and any supporting documents, reviews for accuracy and completeness; copies, collates, and routes forms to appropriate locations or staff.
Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Successfully pass a criminal history check; and possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Bilingual and one year of customer service are preferred.
Within sixty (60) days of hire, employees (select DHE and EMS positions) must produce proof of immunization, proof of immunity, proof that immunization is medically contraindicated, submit a written objection to immunization based upon a sincerely held religious belief, or receive vaccination for the following: Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR); Tetanus Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (TDAP); and Varicella (Chickenpox).
