POSITION DESCRIPTION: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (CSR) EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND BEHAVIORAL TRAITS REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PERFORM THIS JOB: A Customer Service Representative (CSR) is considered a critical link between the bank and our customers and plays a vital role in the branch's success. A CSR is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, including sales and service functions, and making referrals. A CSR processes all transactions, including the sale of official checks and money orders.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to Customer Service Representative Supervisor and has no direct reports
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties of a CSR include, but not limited to, the following:
Adheres to the banks vision, mission statement, moments of truths, core competencies, sales and service standards, policies and regulations, and the bank operations manual Has ability to open and close branch, arm and disarm the premises while following bank security procedures Operates and balances a cash drawer efficiently according to the operations manual guidelinesOperates network computers/software, and other equipment necessary Completes all training provided to become CSR certified within 90 daysHas a good knowledge of bank products and services to help identify cross sale opportunitiesKnows the importance and requirements of completing all reports specific to your jobAttends all required meetingsAssists customers with safety deposit box entry and paymentsParticipate in the general upkeep and appearance of the branch and work stationOther duties as designated by managementQUALIFICATIONS: Education Minimum – High school graduate or GEDSocially interactive and enthusiasticProfessional appearance and mannerWorking knowledge of computer and Microsoft office productsSales and Cash-handling experience preferredRead, write, speak clearly over the phone and one-on-one conversationWork in a team environment while following good judgement, tactfulness, and time constraints while maintaining a professional mannerConsistently work a required assigned schedule, which may include SaturdayOTHER: Physical Demands: This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, the lifting of coin or currency up to forty pounds. This position requires significant standing, walking, bending, and stooping as necessary.
Travel is expected for training as well as some overnight stays
