Job Summary: The custodian is tasked with maintaining the upkeep our facilities. This individual will ensure both the internal and external appearance of our buildings remains in superior condition at all times. The custodian should have prior experience with building upkeep, and also have a keen eye for detail.
Essential Functions: Keeps building and property in a clean and orderly condition. Maintains outer premises by watering plants, and cleaning corridors and entrances. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors on a daily basis. Gathers and empties trash daily. Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities. Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment. Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with preferred cleaning solution. Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture. Shampoos or steam-cleans carpets and rugs. Manages inventory of cleaning supplies. Notifies Community Managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems. Other duties and tasks on an as needed basis. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
