Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary The Washington University School of Medicine Operations & Facilities Management Department provides a range of services for the medical campus in a customer-focused, efficient, and sustainable manner. Operations & Facilities Management maintains 61 university buildings and provides operational, planning, and construction services to over 8.3 million gross square feet of space. We will open three new facilities between 2023 and 2025 with over 1.5M BGSF. In addition, the School of Medicine continues expanding its reach on and off campus in teaching, clinical care, and research. Our team plays a vital and important role in delivering clinical care, research, and education.
The position provides custodial services for a department by performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and healthy work area for staff and visitors. This a 3rd shift position: Sunday â" Thursday, 10:00 PM â" 6:30 AM. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Collects and dispose of trash and waste products by taking to appropriate compactor. Cleans, disinfects bathrooms, sanitizes telephones, washes desks and cleans lunch/service area. Operates mechanical floor cleaners, vacuums and utilizes mop buckets, wringers, etc. Mops, buffs and maintains all floors and dusts/vacuums work areas and offices. Washes interior and exterior windows. Changes lights utilizing appropriate ladders. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Preferred Qualifications Some housekeeping experience. Working knowledge of general housekeeping equipment. Ability to read and understand labels and operating instructions on equipment and chemical containers. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
Grade G03-H Salary Range $15.25 - $20.16 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
