Responsibilities
• Perform high-quality CT scans and must be able to work independently• Demonstrate a clear understanding of CT protocols• Work with the Physicians and Physician Assistants (PA) during IV contrast administration• Perform daily CT QA/QC imaging• Demonstrate a team effort with all other Radiology staff• Able to instruct students in routine CT and general x-ray exams• Show knowledge and use of radiation protection• Apply all standards set by the Department of Radiology, Federal and State Radiation Protection Agencies• Maintain room inventory and equipment checklist• Assure completion of all documentation before the examination
Requirements
• 1 year CT Technologist experience, Relevant Equipment• Experience with both CT & X-ray required• Valid license as a radiologic technologist, nuclear medicine technologist or in radiation therapy issued by the NYSDOH• Post primary certification in computed tomography issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required• BLS preferred• Malpractice Insurance required• Pay Rate: $62.50 per hour
