Responsibilities
• Imaging both neuro and body scans on patients• Following age-specific guidelines for imaging• Transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation• Keeping the hospital computer system up to date with exam progress• Providing outstanding customer service• Completing all exams in a timely manner• Screening patients for contrast allergies• Operating imaging equipment safely• Practicing infection control standards• Reviewing images and notifying physician of emergent findings
Requirements
• Ability to analyze and assess data• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations• Effective communication skills• Knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices in healthcare• Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English• Associate's or Technical degree in a related field• Two years hospital-based clinical Radiology experience (preferred)• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification• Basic Life Support - CPR certification• Completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration• Computed Tomography A.R.R.T. (CT) certification (preferred)
