A top player in the small cruise industry is in search of qualified Chief Engineers to join their vessel teams. This role promises a unique and captivating experience, where you'll fulfill a crucial role for our esteemed guests and crew members. Chief Engineer Responsibilities: - Maintain the designated ship in a constant state of preparedness, overseeing all engineering, deck, life safety, and hospitality systems.
- Supervise fuel, oil, and potable water bunkering operations.
- Provide direct supervision as required.
- Engage with passengers daily in a courteous and professional manner.
Chief Engineer Requirements: - Minimum of two years of experience as an Engineer on a passenger vessel weighing at least 25 tons.
- Graduate from a Maritime Engineering School in good standing and/or possess a Designated Duty Engineer certification or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of diesel propulsion and electrical generating systems, fuel centrifuges, air compressors, pumps, hydraulics, water makers, hotel systems, plumbing, refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning.
- Preferably hold a QMED license, STCW certification, and valid TWIC.
