GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The System Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the Student Information System (SIS) and Learning Management System (LMS). This individual must be an effective collaborator, as the role interacts cross-functionally and provides support to many different departments in our organization. An individual with prior experience managing databases or learning management systems in an education setting would be an ideal fit. The Systems Administrator role requires an individual who is a big-picture thinker, and enjoys creating new and increasingly efficient processes and procedures.
The Field Trip Coordinator is responsible for the booking, communication, transportation, and chaperone arrangements for all field trips from K-8th grade.
Primary Job Functions:
· Performs all LMS/SIS systems administration (Preschool - 12th Grade)
· Manages user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with best-practices
· Provides technical support to all system users (students, families, staff) concerning SIS and LMS use.
· Integrates SIS/LMS systems to provide a simple, easy-to-use interface for students, teachers, and families.
· Anticipates, mitigates, identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues related to student and family experience.
· Creates and improves student enrollment procedures and increases efficiency through use of online applications and enrollment platforms.
· Creates and provides semi-annual academic reports (such as report cards and transcripts).
· Collaborates cross-functionally with all departments (Preschool - 12th) for strategic planning and improvement of system use.
· Manages course enrollments for all school levels, including creating schedules, enrolling students in courses, and managing schedule changes
· Develops training materials and procedures for new processes, newly onboarded staff, as well as provides 1-on-1 system training if deemed necessary
· Assists in managing and enforcing SIS/LMS standards and best practices
· Provide front office support by answering phones, responding to emails, assisting parents, etc. when needed
· Provide support to the TK-8 Office Coordinator by placing custodial FMX requests in the system and following up for completion as needed
Field Trip Coordinator
· Communicate with grade levels regarding locations and timelines
· Book field trips with locations
· Arrange for transportation to and from locations
· Provide all information to families
· Send and collect permission slips, driver's information, and any other information needed
· Track parent volunteer status and communicate with volunteers about the trip
· Coordinate payment with the accounting office
· Provide Volunteer Training when needed
· Communicate with parents about their volunteer status, when needed
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
· Preferred, 2 years of experience in an academic setting
· Understand concepts of databases, system administration, and technical support
· Prior experience with Canvas, FACTS, or other SIS/LMS preferred
· A self-starter who takes ownership, enjoys leadership, and has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Highly competent in technological skills
· Strong written and communication skills
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Able to open and close School Campus Facilities.
· Able to keep the campus safe and protected from the public during school hours.
· Able to meet with staff, learners, and parents when dealing with behavioral issues.
· Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
· Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily.
· Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
· Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
MENTAL WORK DEMANDS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Regular and on-time attendance.
· Hours not to exceed 40 hours per week.
· Participation in required extracurricular activities throughout the year
· Attend Briefings and Debriefings when needed.
· Attend in-services and professional development meetings as deemed necessary by the Administration.

· Excellent and timely communication skills in English and Spanish.
· Ability to meet deadlines and perform well in potentially tight time constraints.
· Maintain a high level of privacy when working with confidential learner information.
· A love for learners and a desire to assist them in their personal, educational, and spiritual development.
· Fluency in Spanish language and ability to teach Spanish effectively to non-Spanish speaking and Spanish speaking learners.

· FLSA Status: Non-exempt
· Pay Grade: CCS Pay Grade 5
