Critical Care Intensivist

The Department of Anesthesia in the Roy J. and Lucille B. Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Anesthesia ICU Intensivist. This is a clinical track appointment. The chosen candidate will be responsible for actualizing out tripartite mission: clinical care, education, and research. Responsibilities of this position include:
Participating in team-based anesthesia care and personally providing anesthesia care Serving as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating for effective patient outcomes Active participation in the academic activities of the Department and College of Medicine Supervising students, residents, fellows, SRNA's and non-anesthesia rotators Providing developmental feedback to those under supervision, verbally and in writing Preparing educational materials, leading and/or attending academic lectures and professional development events Research activities are encouraged, though participation is not required for continued employment or promotion
