Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking an experienced Credit Trader to join ourtrading team.A successful candidate will have exceptional quantitative, analytical, and negotiation skills, and will be able to multi-task, handle ambiguity, and proactively adapt to changing market conditions. Over time, the Credit Trader can expect to learn more about and contribute to our fixed income investment strategies.At least 3 years of previous experience as a buy side or sell side credit trader is required. This role is a full-time in-office position based in Boston.Responsibilities:Execute credit trades, generate and assess ideas for how to make better trading decisions, and collaborate with the investment team and PMs to constantly improve our processes.Maintain strong relationships with a broad set of liquidity providers to best identify and execute trades while minimizing transaction costs.Leverage expertise gained from previous roles to stay abreast of industry trends, news, and developments influencing credit markets.Maintain awareness of market axes, ensuring no missed opportunities and staying organized in a fast-paced trading environment.About the Company:For 31 years, Weiss Asset Management has developed proprietary value-based investment strategies designed to deliver high risk-adjusted returns to our investors, who include charitable foundations, pension plans, endowments, hospitals, government entities and private investors.
